Synthetic Amorphous Silicas
Synthetic silicas find application as matting, anti-blocking and anti-glare agent in the coating and ink industry. They impart natural and luxurious perception to wood based furniture, vinyl wallpaper and consumer electronic products. Silicas doped with calcium ion functions as environmentally friendly anti-corrosive pigments to replace the heavy metal based anti-corrosive pigments. Specialized silicas acts as sieves for moisture, free flowing agent for powdered food and pharmaceutical products, and as partial replacement of TiO2 to reduce formulation cost.
